Current Opportunities
All roles within Connections have a very important part to play in the company’s aim to provide an exceptional service and experience for clients and candidates alike. Everyone
in the organisation is expected to show pride and passion in the work they do, whilst demonstrating the qualities of trust, honesty, compassion and integrity. Working in recruitment
can be one of the most fulfilling and rewarding jobs within sales and consultancy.
It is often the case that you will work longer than normal hours. Our clients and candidates are not '9 to 5' sorts of people, which undoubtedly means that you shouldn't be, either.
If you're a bit of a clock-watcher and can't wait for your hour's lunch break on the stroke of noon, you're probably not best suited to this style of role. The good news is that your efforts
will be recognised, appreciated and rewarded.
Researcher
The position of Researcher at Connections is often how many start their career with us. A researcher’s primary responsibility is to become an expert in a given technical field and to
use that knowledge to develop a sub-section of the candidate database, which holds details of candidates with expertise in that chosen field.
A researcher will work closely with an account handler or consultant and is an integral part of an effective recruitment service to both clients and candidates.
Researchers are also responsible for the effective collection and analysis of market data, which in turn enables the business to identify and win new business opportunities.
Account handler
An Account Handlers’ primary responsibility is to maintain and further develop relationships with Connections’ major accounts. Connections is very proud of its track record in winning
and subsequently strengthening long-term relationships with its clients, many of which span over ten years!
The role involves managing the relationship, which includes providing advice, feedback and analysis of our performance against the service levels we have agreed. You will be seen
as a brand champion for the client, ensuring you promote their business and the career opportunities within it at every opportunity.
You will be expected to spend a proportion of your time out of the office in client meetings and interviews and relationship-building events. You will also be responsible for managing
candidate expectations, particularly those candidates engaged on a contractual basis with the client.
Consultant
The role of consultant at Connections has a wide and flexible meaning. As an established and successful recruitment consultancy, we have built our success on a team-based ethos,
supporting and helping each other to achieve the company’s aim – to provide our clients and candidates with the best service in the market place.
On a day-to-day basis you will be involved in all aspects of the recruiting process. Working in a target-driven sales capacity you will liase between candidates looking for work and clients
seeking to employ staff. You will have a monthly appraisal with your manager and receive ongoing training to perform all of the following recruitment tasks to a high standard
- Prospecting new and existing clients for job opportunities
- Meeting clients to sell Connections' services
- Consulting with clients over job descriptions and specifications
- Writing copy and advertising vacancies to attract candidates
