Environmental Policy
Connections Recruitment operates with consideration for the environment at the core of its activities. It is committed to continual improvement and to creating as
sustainable an organisation as possible. We have identified our environmental impacts and have created solutions to reduce these significantly.
We are committed to preventing pollution and to taking the steps needed to comply with environmental legislation
In particular, Connections Recruitment will
-
Energy and Carbon
- Raise awareness of energy consumption throughout operations
- Reduce energy use through behavioural change and using new efficient technologies
- Use public transport for local travel and rail in preference to air for short-haul journeys
-
Waste
- Increase waste awareness and apply the principles of the waste hierarchy, in other words to extract the maximum practical benefits from products and to generate the minimum amount of waste.
-
Recycling
- Seperate and recycle paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, glass, aluminium cans and ink cartridges
- Reuse, donate to charity or recycle all redundant IT hardware
-
Purchasing and Procurement
- Consider the environmental credentials and life-cycle of all products, services and suppliers
- Purchase 100% recycled paper to create a ‘closed-loop’ solution
